How To Use TikControl For TikTok LIVE

TikControl is one of the strongest TikFinity alternatives Iāve found for TikTok LIVE creators. Like TikFinity, it has a useful free tier as well as paid features, but TikControl also brings a lot of extra creator tools into one app.
You can use TikControl for text-to-speech, sound alerts, TikTok LIVE actions, overlays, analytics, battle tracking, interactive gaming, event planning, and even importing some of your TikFinity settings.
To get a discount on the paid tier, use code HARRYĀ at checkout. This is an affiliate code, so it also supports my work.

Step 1: Download And Install TikControl
Start by heading to the TikControl website and downloading the Windows version.
When you first open the website or app, it may appear in Spanish. If that happens, look in the bottom-left corner and change the language to English or your preferred language.
Once downloaded, run through the installer. You can accept the default installation options.
After installation, open TikControl. If the app is still in Spanish, use the language selector again in the bottom-left corner.
Step 2: Connect Your TikTok Account
Inside TikControl, click SettingsĀ at the top, then go to Account.
Click the option to log in with TikTok. The QR code method is usually the easiest way to connect your account.
TikControl may ask whether you want to import your TikFinity settings. You can skip this for now because you can import them later once the basic setup is complete.
After logging in, your TikTok username should appear in the TikTok LIVE box. Do notĀ press ConnectĀ unless you are currently live. You only need to connect to TikTok LIVE when your stream is actually running.
Once your TikTok account is linked, you can start setting up the main features.
Step 3: Set Up Text-To-Speech
One of the most popular TikControl features is text-to-speech.
To find it, click Alerts, then click TTS.
When you first enable text-to-speech, TikControl will show a warning. This is worth reading because text-to-speech can be abused if you allow everyone in chat to trigger it. Random viewers may type inappropriate messages, so it is usually safer to limit text-to-speech to members, gifters, or superfans.
After accepting the warning, you can configure your TTS settings.
A very important setting is your audio output. Make sure TikControl is using the same audio output as TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Meld Studio, or whichever broadcasting software you use. If TikControl sends audio to the wrong headset or speaker, your viewers may not hear the text-to-speech.
You can also choose whether viewers need to use a prefix. For example, you could make viewers type a dot or exclamation mark before their message to trigger TTS.
TikControl also lets you decide whether the viewerās username is read out loud. For example, you could make it say:
Harry says hello
This is usually better than only reading the message because it tells everyone who triggered the text-to-speech.
TikControl includes lots of different voices. Free users may have fewer voice options, while premium users can access more voices and may be able to assign specific voices to specific viewers.
Step 4: Add Sound Alerts
Next, click Alerts, then Sounds.
Sound alerts let you play a specific sound when something happens on your TikTok LIVE. For example, you could play a sound when someone sends a specific gift.
TikControl includes the MyInstants sound library, so you do not always need to upload your own sound files. You can choose a sound, press the plus button to add it, then assign it to a trigger.
For example, you could choose the GGĀ gift and make it play a sound every time someone sends that gift.
You can also upload your own sounds if you want a more personalised stream.
If you are a premium user, you may see a GlobalĀ option. This means the sound alert can stay active across different TikControl profiles, so you do not have to recreate the same alerts every time.
Step 5: Create Actions And Events
The ActionsĀ page is one of the most powerful parts of TikControl.
An actionĀ is what happens on your stream. An eventĀ is what triggers that action.
For example:
Event:Ā Someone followsAction:Ā A āThanks for the followā alert appears on screen
To create a basic follower alert, go to the ActionsĀ page and click New Action.
Give it a clear name, such as New Follower. Set the duration to around three seconds. Choose the screen you want it to appear on, then enable the AlertĀ option.
TikControl lets you insert variables, such as the viewerās username or nickname. For example, you could create an alert that says:
@username thanks for the follow!
You can then customise the alert with colours, animations, avatar settings, username colours, and other design options.
When saving alerts like this, it is usually a good idea to run them sequentially. That means if two people follow at almost the same time, TikControl will queue the alerts instead of skipping one.
After saving the action, you need to create the event. Set the trigger to Follow, then attach it to your New FollowerĀ action.
You can repeat this process for gifts, subscriptions, likes, shares, and specific gifts.
Step 6: Create A Gift Alert
To create a basic gift alert, click New ActionĀ again.
Name it something like New GiftĀ and set the duration to around four seconds.
This time, you might want to enable both AlertĀ and Text-To-Speech.
For the alert message, use variables such as:
Username RepeatCount GiftName
This lets you create an alert like:
Harry, thanks for 5 roses!
You can copy the same message into the text-to-speech box so it is also read out loud.
After saving the action, create a new event. Set the trigger to a minimum diamonds gift. If you set the minimum to 1, the alert can trigger for any gift. You can also set it higher if you only want alerts for bigger gifts.
Step 7: Create A Superfan Alert
You can also create an alert for new superfans.
Click New Action, name it something like New Superfan, and set the duration to around ten seconds.
Enable an on-screen alert and add a message using the username and subscription variables. Make sure you manually add the word āmonthā or āmonthsā where needed so the message reads naturally.
You can also add a sound effect to make superfans feel more special.
After saving the action, create a new event and set the trigger to Subscription. Attach it to your new superfan action and save it.
Step 8: Add TikControl Alerts To Your Streaming Software
Once your alerts are created, you need to add them to your broadcasting software.
This works with TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Meld Studio, and most other streaming tools.
If you are using the free version of TikControl, you may need to copy the screen URL directly from your alerts or actions page.
If you are using the editor, go to Overlays, then Editor. The editor lets you combine multiple TikControl elements into one link. This can be much cleaner than adding several separate browser sources.
In the editor, add Screen 1Ā and place it where you want the alerts to appear. If you are streaming vertically, your canvas will usually be 1080 x 1920. If you are streaming horizontally, it will usually be 1920 x 1080.
Once your layout is ready, copy the editor URL.
In TikTok LIVE Studio, click Add Source, then choose Link Source. In OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Meld Studio, or similar software, this is usually called a Browser Source.
Paste the TikControl URL, turn on sound, and set the custom resolution.
If you are using the full TikControl editor, use your full stream resolution, such as 1080 x 1920Ā for vertical streams.
If you are only adding an alert screen URL, you may need to try a smaller size, such as 600 x 250Ā or 600 x 300, then adjust it until it looks right.
Use the preview or play buttons inside TikControl to test your alerts. If something looks cut off, too small, or too large, adjust the source dimensions in your streaming software or resize it inside the TikControl editor.
Step 9: Add TikControl Overlays
TikControl also has an overlay gallery.
Go to Overlays, then Gallery. You will find lots of overlay options, including free and premium overlays.
To add one, click ConfigureĀ on the overlay you want to use. For example, you might add a Top LikesĀ overlay to show your top likers on screen.
Customise the overlay to match your stream. You can usually change colours, fonts, frames, and other design settings.
When finished, you can either copy the overlay link and add it as a browser source, or add it directly to the TikControl editor.
Try not to overcrowd your stream with too many overlays. Pick one or two that actually improve the viewer experience and fit your content style.
Step 10: Explore Community Analytics
TikControl also has a CommunityĀ tab with analytics and community tools.
This can help you review what is happening across your streams. For example, you may be able to see diamonds per day, battle analytics, gifters, inactive gifters, and other useful data.
This is helpful because TikTokās own analytics can sometimes be awkward to view, especially from the web. Having more of this data inside TikControl can make it easier to understand what is working in your streams.
Step 11: Use The Moderation Panel
TikControl includes moderation tools and chat commands.
You can add accounts and enable different command options. This can make it easier to manage your stream, especially if you have trusted helpers or moderators.
Make sure you test this properly before relying on it during a real stream, because moderation permissions can vary depending on your TikTok setup.
Step 12: Use Battle Tracking
One of TikControlās biggest advantages over TikFinity is the battle section.
TikControl can show live battle data, including rival information, top gifters, boosts, match history, and bonus mission tracking.
If you regularly battle on TikTok LIVE, this can help you understand what is happening in real time and make better decisions during battles.
Step 13: Try Interactive Gaming Tools
TikControl also includes interactive gaming features.
TikFinity already has some interactive gaming options, such as Minecraft and keyboard controls, but TikControl adds a wider selection of games and modes.
You may see support for games like Minecraft, GTA, Resident Evil, and other interactive setups. TikControl is also adding more gaming tools over time.
The Overlay GamingĀ section can provide a URL that shows available commands viewers can type to interact with your game. You can add this URL to your streaming software as another browser or link source.
Step 14: Plan Streams With The Events Calendar
TikControl has an EventsĀ tab that can help you plan your streams and content.
You can sync Google Calendar or create events manually. For example, you could create a GTA stream event, choose the category, set the start and end time, add an image or description, then save it to your calendar.
This is another example of TikControl trying to bring more creator tools into one place instead of making you manage everything separately.
Step 15: Consider Joining An Agency
The Agencies tab inside TikControl may not be essential for setup, but joining a TikTok LIVE agency can still be useful.
A good agency may help with stream key support, false-ban support, training, and general creator growth.
You can find my verified list of agencies here: List of Agencies
Step 16: Import TikFinity Settings Into TikControl
If you already use TikFinity, you may be able to import some of your settings into TikControl.
In TikFinity, go to Setup, then Import Export Settings.
Click Export Settings to File. Choose the settings you want to export, such as Sound Alerts, Actions, and Events, then download the file.
Next, open TikControl. Go to Profiles, then Manage Profile, then choose Import from TikFinity.
Select your TikFinity export file, give the imported profile a name, and start the import.
After importing, check your actions and events carefully. Some settings may not work perfectly straight away, especially if anything is encrypted or handled differently between the two apps. Test each alert, sound, and action before using them in a real stream.
Final Thoughts
TikControl is not just a TikFinity replacement. It is more like a full TikTok LIVE creator toolkit.
You can use it for alerts, text-to-speech, sound alerts, overlays, analytics, battles, gaming, event planning, and more. TikFinity is still a great tool, but TikControl adds some features that TikFinity does not currently offer, especially around battle tracking, event planning, and bringing multiple creator tools into one app.
