If you stream on TikTok LIVE from your computer, sound alerts are a great way to make your stream feel more interactive. With TikControl, you can trigger a sound whenever someone sends you a gift, follows you, becomes a Superfan, or interacts with your stream in another way.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to set up a sound alert for a TikTok LIVE gift using TikControl.

You can download TikControl here: https://geni.us/tikcontrol

TikControl is free to download, but if you decide to upgrade to a paid plan, you can use code HARRYĀ for a discount and to support my work.

Step 1: Download And Open TikControl

First, download and install the TikControl desktop app.

Once TikControl is open, go to SettingsĀ and then AccountĀ at the top of the app. The most important thing here is to make sure you are correctly logged into your TikTok account.

This allows TikControl to connect to your TikTok LIVE stream and trigger alerts when people engage with you.

Step 2: Go To The Sounds Section

Next, click AlertsĀ at the top of TikControl.

Then click Sounds.

This is where you can manage the sounds that play during your TikTok LIVE stream. At first, the page might look a little confusing, but the setup is simple once you know what each option does.

Step 3: Choose Where The Sound Should Apply

If you are a TikControl premium user, you may be able to choose whether the sound applies to a specific profile or globally.

Choose the current profile if you only want the sound to apply to that setup.

Choose GlobalĀ if you want the sound to be available across every profile.

Step 4: Add A Sound

TikControl gives you a few different ways to add sounds.

You can upload your own sound, import sounds from TikFinity, or search for sounds directly inside TikControl.

To search for a sound, click My Instance, type what you want to search for, and then press Search.

For example, you could search for something like ā€œRickRollā€ and browse through the available options.

You can preview the sounds before adding them. Once you find one you like, press the green plus button to add it.

Step 5: Choose What Triggers The Sound

After you add your sound, move to step two in the TikControl sound setup.

Click the dropdown menu that says None, then choose the type of engagement that should trigger the sound.

This could be a specific TikTok LIVE gift, a follow, a Superfan event, or another form of engagement.

For this example, we’ll trigger the sound when someone sends a specific gift.

Click Select Gift, then search for the gift you want to use. For example, you could type ā€œRoseā€ and select the correct Rose gift from the list.

Step 6: Preview And Adjust The Volume

Once the gift has been selected, you can use the play icon on the right-hand side to test the sound.

You can also adjust the volume if the sound is too loud or too quiet.

This is worth checking before you go live, because you want the alert to be noticeable without overpowering your voice or the rest of your stream audio.

Step 7: Check Your Stream Audio

Before you start streaming, make sure your desktop audio is set up correctly inside your streaming software.

If you are using TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Meld Studio, or another streaming tool, check that the correct desktop audio source is added.

This is usually the audio device linked to your headset or speakers.

If your desktop audio is not captured correctly, your viewers may not hear the TikControl sound alert on stream.

Step 8: Keep TikControl Open While Streaming

Once everything is set up, keep TikControl open while you stream.

When someone sends the gift you selected, TikControl will trigger the sound automatically.

In this example, the sound would play whenever someone sends a Rose during your TikTok LIVE.

Final Thoughts

TikControl can do much more than just sound alerts. It is designed to help improve engagement and make it easier to manage your TikTok LIVE stream.

But if you just want a simple way to play a sound when someone sends a gift, the Sounds section in TikControl is the place to start.
