How To Set Up TikControl Royale for TikTok LIVE
TikControl Royale is a Clash Royale-inspired interactive game for TikTok LIVE. Viewers can send gifts, follow, share, like or type chat commands to spawn troops against you. You can also assign one gift that sends allied troops to help you.
Royale requires TikControl Premium or Founder, the TikControl Windows app and an Android 12 device running inside MuMuPlayer. You need to keep TikControl and MuMuPlayer open while you play. Download TikControl and connect your account
Download TikControl for Windows, run the installer and open the app. Go to Settings > Account and make sure the correct TikTok account is logged in.
You do not need to press Connect while setting everything up. That connection is used when your TikTok LIVE is running. If you need the basic account and app setup first, use my complete TikControl setup guide.
Open the TikControl Royale setup guide
Open Gaming at the top of TikControl. Find the TikControl Royale banner, click Enter the Arena, then click Start Guide.
The first step asks you to install MuMuPlayer and specifically tells you to use Android 12. There is a layout problem in the current guide: the buttons may sit outside the visible part of the window. Resize TikControl until you can see the Download MuMuPlayer button. Shrinking the app to a narrow, mobile-style view made the button visible during my setup.
The MuMuPlayer download page may open in Spanish. Change `es` to `en` at the top, download the Windows version and run the installer.
Create an Android 12 portrait device
MuMuPlayer may initially open an Android 15 landscape device and the MuMu Store. Close both tabs. If it asks whether to show them again, choose Don't Remind Me Again and confirm.
You need a fresh Android 12 portrait device instead:
Find the Android 15 device, open its three-dot menu and choose Delete.
Click New.
Choose Android 12.
Choose Portrait.
Leave the other options at their defaults and click Create.
Accept the installation prompt when it appears.
MuMuPlayer should create a 900 x 1600 Android 12 device. You can rename it from the three-dot menu, but that is optional. Click the play icon to launch it and leave the Android device open beside TikControl.
Start the Royale system and install the app
Return to the TikControl guide. Resize the window again if the next button is hidden, confirm that MuMuPlayer is open, then continue.
Click Start System. The System Status should change to Running, and TikControl should detect MuMuPlayer automatically. Continue to the installation step and click Install to add TikControl Royale to the Android device.
The install can appear to do nothing for a few seconds while it works in the background. Wait until TikControl says Installed and the TikControl Royale app appears inside the Android device. Continue to step five, then click Finish Guide rather than opening the game immediately.
At the top of the Royale page, check that the four setup indicators are green. If the system is not running, click Start System. A Battle Status of Searching for rival is normal before you enter a match.
Choose the troops viewers can send
Under Rival Setup, choose up to 12 troops that viewers can potentially spawn against you. To replace one, select the troop currently in the slot, choose its replacement from the list on the right, then scroll down and click Save Changes.
The label may default to TikControl. Change it to Viewers or use your own community name, then save again. The 12 troops do not all become active automatically. You still need to connect them to gifts or community rules.
Set up one allied troop
Under My Allied Troops, choose one troop that helps you instead of fighting against you. Set how many should spawn, make sure the rule is active, then connect it to a gift.
Click Unlink when replacing an existing gift, choose Choose from TikControl, search for the gift and select it. In my example, a Confetti gift sends four Executioners to my side.
Map gifts to rival troops
Open Gifts and Events to connect gifts to the rival troops. Select a gift, choose the troop, set how many should spawn and optionally choose left, right, centre, automatic attack or defence.
Repeat this for every gift action you want. You do not need to use all 12 troop slots immediately. A smaller setup is easier to test and explain to viewers.
Add follows, shares, likes and chat commands
The Community Rules section uses the same troop list, but it responds to non-gift engagement. You can create rules for:
follows;
shares;
Super Fans;
a like threshold;
a specific chat message.
Check that each rule you want is switched on. For likes, the number is a threshold: a threshold of 15 means the troop spawns when the viewer reaches 15 likes, not at 14.
For chat, type the command and click Add. For example, `!skeleton` can spawn Skeletons. Select the troop and any placement or behaviour options after adding the command.
Test the game before going LIVE
Scroll to the top of the Royale page and click Open Game. TikControl should launch Royale inside MuMuPlayer. Click Battle to start a match.
Use Send Help Now to test the allied troop. The gift test buttons under Gifts and Events let you spawn each rival troop. The Viewer Simulator farther down the page can also trigger individual troops. At the time of filming, the Community Rules did not have the same direct test button, so test the gift and troop setup first.
The important result is simple: the correct troop should appear on the correct side, in the quantity and position you selected. Fix any wrong mapping before adding the game to your stream.
Add the viewer instructions to LIVE Studio
TikControl includes an optional overlay that shows viewers which gifts or actions spawn each troop. Copy its URL, then add it to TikTok LIVE Studio:
Click Add Source.
Choose Link and click Add.
Paste the TikControl overlay URL.
Click away from the field so the preview loads, then click Add Source.
Set the custom resolution to 1080 x 1920.
Apply the change and use Fit to Screen.
Rename the source to TikControl Royale and lock it in place.
Use 1080 x 1920 when the overlay looks pixelated at its default size. The overlay should now show the current gifts and the troops they trigger.
Capture the Royale game
Viewers also need to see the battle inside MuMuPlayer. Add a Display Capture or Window Capture source. Display Capture was the simpler option during this setup.
Move the capture above any background source in the layer list. Hold Alt while dragging the source handles to crop the capture down to the TikControl Royale game area, then resize and position it inside the vertical canvas. Use the alignment menu to centre it horizontally and lock it once the layout is correct.
This is easier with two monitors because MuMuPlayer and LIVE Studio can stay on separate screens, but the same crop works with one display.
Your pre-LIVE checklist
Before each TikTok LIVE:
open TikControl and confirm the correct TikTok account;
launch the Android 12 device in MuMuPlayer;
click Start System in TikControl;
open TikControl Royale;
confirm all four status indicators are green;
start a battle and check that Battle Status changes to In Match;
keep TikControl and MuMuPlayer open for the full game;
check that the overlay and cropped game capture are visible in LIVE Studio.
A Royale match gives you 60 minutes. Watch how quickly viewers trigger events and adjust troop quantities, gift choices and engagement thresholds so the game stays playable.
