How To Set Up TikFinity Actions & Events (TikFinity 2.0 Tutorial)

TikFinity's Actions & Events can show alerts when viewers follow, send gifts, like or subscribe. This guide covers the redesigned TikFinity 2.0 page: import a ready-made pack, build a custom gift alert and set up a recurring reminder.

You'll need the TikFinity desktop app, a TikFinity account and broadcasting software such as TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS. You can set up and simulate alerts while offline.

Get TikFinity using my affiliate link. The link supports my work and offers a Pro discount for new accounts. The basic setup shown here can be done free.

Set up TikFinity 2.0

Open TikFinity and use the Setup page to log in, enter your TikTok username and check that the correct TikTok account is signed in under TikTok Login. TikFinity 2.0 is required for the redesigned page. Follow the V2 prompt on Start or Setup and allow time for existing data to migrate. TikFinity's Discord is linked inside the app if you need migration help.

An action is what happens, such as displaying an alert. An event is what triggers it, such as a follow or a gift.

Add the Starter Pack

  1. Open Actions from the left sidebar and find the Starter Pack under presets.

  2. Select Get This Pack to import the follow, like, gift and subscriber alerts and their events.

  3. Copy the screen link from the confirmation. The Starter Pack uses Screen 1.

Lost the link? Open the pack, hover over an alert to check its screen, and copy the corresponding link from the screens menu. Increase the screen's queue size so several alerts can wait their turn. A queue of 1,000 is the example in the video, not a required setting.

Add the alert screen to your stream

In TikTok LIVE Studio, add a Link source and paste the screen link. In OBS or other broadcasting software, add a Browser source instead. Start with a custom resolution of 800 x 400, then adjust the dimensions and placement to suit the alert. Rename the source to something recognisable, such as TikFinity Screen 1.

Return to TikFinity and test an action using its play button, or open the simulation menu and simulate a follow, like, subscriber event or specific gift. Check the alert appears and sounds right in your streaming software. If the image and text overlap, adjust the source dimensions; the video also shows an 800 x 800 example.

Create an alert for higher-value gifts

For this example, create a separate alert for gifts worth at least 999 coins:

  1. In Actions, select New Action and give it a useful name, such as 999 Plus Coin Gift.

  2. Choose Screen 1 and set the display duration. The video uses 15 seconds as an example.

  3. Under Effects, add Show Picture/GIF and select your image or GIF.

  4. Add Show Alert (User + Text). Use the parameter picker to include the gift name and repeat count, and customise the colours.

  5. Save the effects, continue through the advanced settings and save the action.

  6. Open Events and select New Event. Choose Sending a gift with minimum coin value, enter 999, and select the new action under Trigger all of these actions.

  7. Save the event, then simulate a qualifying gift and check the result in your broadcast software.

Hover over the action to check its assigned screen is online. If it is offline, copy that screen's link and add it to your streaming software.

Organise actions and events

Use New Folder to group related items, rename the folder and drag the relevant actions or events into it. Actions and events have separate folder views, so organise each side. You can also drag actions to change their order.

In the recording, switching between the Actions and Events views appeared to require repeating a folder step. Treat this as behaviour observed during filming, not a permanent limitation; check your current version.

Set up a recurring reminder

A timer can trigger an action without a separate event. To show a follow reminder every 30 minutes:

  1. Create a Follow Reminder action on Screen 1 with a five-second duration.

  2. Add Show Alert (User + Text), write your reminder and save the action.

  3. Open Timer, select New Timer and enter 30 minutes.

  4. Select the Follow Reminder action with the lightning-bolt control and save.

  5. Confirm its screen is online and added to your broadcasting software.
