How to Stream on TikTok LIVE from Any Device Using Restream

Want to level up your TikTok livestreams and stream effortlessly from any device? In this guide, I'll walk you through exactly how to use Restream to go live on TikTok, whether you're on a PC, Mac, or mobile device. Plus, I'll show you multiple methods—including how to get a stream key for free!

What You Need


  • A TikTok account

  • Restream account (Sign up here to get $10 in credit)

  • Web browser (Chrome recommended)

  • Camera and microphone

  • Optional: OBS Studio


Method 1: Using a Free Stream Key (Browser-based)


Step 1: Get Your Free TikTok Stream Key

Stream keys can be acquired from free-to-join TikTok Creator Networks (agencies). Here's my verified list of agencies.


Step 2: Configure Your Browser

  • Ensure your camera and microphone are correctly set up in your browser settings:

    • Open your browser settings, select Privacy and Security > Site Controls.

    • Check camera and microphone permissions, selecting your correct devices.


Step 3: Set Up Restream Studio

  • Go to the Restream homepage and create a new stream using Restream Studio.

  • Allow camera and microphone access when prompted.

  • Adjust your camera settings (resolution, audio features like echo cancellation and noise suppression).


Step 4: Add Your TikTok Stream Key

  • In Restream Studio, click Channels > Add Channels > Custom RTMP.

  • Paste your TikTok stream key into the provided fields.

  • Set your stream title (top-left corner).

  • Click Go Live in the top-right corner to start streaming!

Method 2: Built-in TikTok Integration (Browser-based)


Step 1: Access Restream Studio

  • As before, go to Restream Studio and allow camera/mic access.


Step 2: Link Your TikTok Account Directly

  • Click Channels > Add Channels and select TikTok LIVE.

  • Follow the prompts to authorize your TikTok account.

  • Once linked, ensure the channel toggle is on.


Step 3: Start Streaming

  • Choose your stream orientation (portrait or landscape).

  • Set your stream title.

  • Press Go Live to begin streaming directly to TikTok.


Method 3: Advanced Streaming with OBS Studio


Step 1: Prepare OBS Studio

  • Download and install OBS Studio.

  • Set up a new Scene Collection and Profile for Restream.

  • Run OBS’s Auto Configuration Wizard for streaming:

    • Optimize for streaming

    • Set resolution to 1920x1080 (changeable later)

    • Choose Restream.io under services and connect your Restream account.


Step 2: Customize Your Stream Settings

  • Set your bitrate between 6000-8000 for optimal streaming.

  • Drag and drop Restream widgets to manage stream titles and channels directly from OBS.


Step 3: Going Live with OBS

  • Select Start Streaming in OBS once you've customized settings.

  • Manage chat and titles directly in OBS or from your mobile device.


Tips for Best Audio and Video Quality

  • Always activate echo cancellation and noise suppression.

  • Use wired or high-quality wireless microphones/headsets for clear audio.

  • Adjust camera resolution settings based on your Restream plan (free plans usually cap at 720p).
