Want an on-screen alert whenever someone becomes a new Super Fan or subscriber on your TikTok LIVE stream?

In this guide, I’ll show you how to create a TikTok LIVE subscriber alert using TikControl. You can display custom text on your stream, add a sound effect, and then bring the alert into TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Meld Studio, or almost any other broadcasting software.

You can download TikControl here: https://geni.us/tikcontrol

TikControl can be used for free, but if you ever choose to upgrade to a paid tier, use code HARRYĀ for a discount. It also supports my work.

Step 1: Open TikControl and Connect Your TikTok Account

Once you have installed TikControl, open the program and go to SettingsĀ at the top.

Then go to AccountĀ and make sure you are logged into TikTok with the correct account.

This is important because your alerts will only work properly if TikControl is connected to the TikTok account you are going live from.

Step 2: Go to Alerts and Create a New Action

At the top of TikControl, click Alerts.

Then go to Actions.

TikControl uses a three-step process for alerts, and the first step is creating the action. The action controls what actually happens on screen when the alert is triggered.

Click New Action.

Give the action a clear name, such as:

New Subscriber

or:

New Super Fan

Next, choose the duration. This controls how long the alert stays on screen. For example, you could set it to 10 seconds.

Step 3: Choose What the Alert Does

In the action settings, scroll to the Advanced ActionsĀ section.

For this alert, enable:

Alert

and, if you want a sound effect:

Sound

This means TikControl will show text on your stream and also play a sound whenever someone becomes a Super Fan or subscriber.

Step 4: Create the Alert Text

Now you can create the message that will appear on your live stream.

TikControl gives you variable buttons that automatically insert details from the TikTok LIVE event. For a subscriber alert, the most useful variables are usually the username and the subscription month.

For example, you could create a message like:

Harry, thanks for the 2 month Super Fan!

To build this properly inside TikControl, click the variable button for Username, then type:

thanks for the

Then click the variable button for Sub month, and type:

month Super Fan!

TikControl will show a preview at the bottom, so you can check how the alert will look before adding it to your stream.

Step 5: Customise the Alert Appearance

You can now customise the alert so it matches your livestream layout.

There are lots of appearance options you can play around with, including text styling and which elements are shown.

One useful setting is inside Advanced Options. Try setting the text, placeholders, and user elements to the same size. This can make the alert look cleaner and more consistent on screen.

You may also want to add a text border. For example, a 2 pixel black borderĀ can make the alert easier to read, especially if your stream background is busy.

Step 6: Add a Sound Effect

If you enabled sound earlier, scroll down to the sound section.

TikControl lets you search for sounds from inside the program. Click into the sound search, type what you are looking for, and choose a sound you like.

You can press TestĀ to hear it before using it.

Once you find the sound you want, press Use.

Before saving, you may also want to enable Run it sequentially. This helps queue the different alert parts properly, especially if multiple alerts happen close together.

Then press Save.

Step 7: Create the Subscription Event

Now that the action is ready, you need to tell TikControl when to trigger it.

Go to AlertsĀ and then Events.

Click New Event.

Set the audience to:

All

Then set the type to:

Subscription

This is the TikTok LIVE event used for new Super Fans or subscribers.

Under Actions, choose the Super Fan alert action you just created.

You do not need to randomise anything for this setup.

Press Save.

At this point, the alert is created inside TikControl, but it is not on your livestream yet.

Step 8: Copy the TikControl Screen URL

To add the alert to your stream, you need to copy the TikControl screen URL.

Find Screen 1Ā inside TikControl and press the copy button next to the URL.

This URL is what you will add to your streaming software.

Step 9: Add the Alert to TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS Studio, Streamlabs, or Meld Studio

Now open your broadcasting software.

In TikTok LIVE Studio, click Add SourceĀ and choose Link Source.

In most other broadcasting software, such as OBS Studio, Streamlabs, or Meld Studio, this will usually be called a Browser Source.

Paste the TikControl screen URL into the link or browser source box.

If your alert uses sound, make sure sound is enabled for the source.

You may also need to adjust the custom resolution until the alert fits your stream properly.

Once it is added, keep the source active and press Apply.

You can then drag the alert around your scene and resize it using the corner handles.

Step 10: Test the Super Fan Alert

Before going live, test the alert to make sure everything works.

Go back to TikControl and find the action you created, such as New Super Fan.

On the right-hand side, click the play button.

Your alert should now appear inside your broadcasting software. If you added a sound, the sound should play too.

If it does not look quite right, go back into the alert settings and adjust the text size, border, resolution, or source position until it fits your stream.

Final Thoughts

That is how you create a TikTok LIVE Super Fan or subscriber alert using TikControl.

The basic process is:

Create an action, add your alert text and sound, connect it to a subscription event, copy the TikControl screen URL, and add it to your streaming software as a link or browser source.

Once it is set up, every new Super Fan can trigger a custom alert on your TikTok LIVE stream.
